Kijana Makini Kamata Uongozi (KIMU) Project
The project identifies 100 youth, empowers them through conducting a tailor-made programme for capacity development in order to facilitating the formation Community based youth entities and formal registration. The Local Government Authorities Act Finance guidelines promotes in line with The National Youth Policy will be guiding instruments to recognise the activities and initiatives undertaken by youth groups, youth-focused community-based organisations, non- governmental organisations, civil society movements among other statutory obligations.
KYCo have
identified 100 youth 20 each from the 5 Wards which are; Ngamiani Kati,
Tangasisi, Nguvumali, Maweni and Central. Training on familiarization of the
National Youth Development Policy 2007 is a continuous
process for credibility to enable access statutory youth loans from
the City council for sustainable development. KYCo's project lead,
project staff, project accountant and support staff are young volunteers
taking initiative to handle the project and aspire fellow youth
favorably.
