KYCo launched a pilot project on 28^th Sept, 2018 creating inclusive awareness about Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) for secondary school adolescents and distribute re–usable sanitary pads at Morogoro Secondary School as a spear head to end truancy and support girl child education over 800 adolescent girls and boys were reached amongst them 700 girls were provided with both re-usable and disposable sanitary pads.

Status
Msichana na Elimu aimed at reaching out to in school adolescents within Morogoro Municipal and later schools from the rural setting. However, has stopped at the time being due to financial constraints since initially we used “local fundraising” methods to acquire funds in order to purchase re- usable sanitary pads that cost Tshs 8000 per packet.

However, we we are still looking for potential donors that can facilitate the sustainability of the Msichana na Elimu Project.
